Analysis of foundry materials

To ensure a consistently high quality of the casting processes, it is essential that the raw and input materials used are checked precisely. To this end, we carry out incoming inspections of coke, silicon carbide (SiC), ferrosilicon (FeSi) and ferromanganese.

Equally important is the regular inspection of waste products such as slag, molding sand, black carbon, cooled molten iron, filter and blast furnace gas dusts or waste water from cleaning, coating and passivation plants.

Particular attention is also paid here to emissions trading. The amount of CO2 released can be determined from the difference between the carbon content of the materials used and the carbon content of the waste. By precisely and reproducibly determining the total carbon content, we help our customers to operate more sustainably, optimize processes and thus increase their profits.
